Psalm 46
1God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress
Psalm 46 Devotional Writing
Are you having trouble? Psalm 46 is telling us to rely on God as our refuge & strength. He is our help. Do not fear for He is with us. Though disasters, problems come be still for He is God. He is in control of everything. He is omnipotent. Leave it to God to handle the situation. The raging sea roars at you, do not fear for you have living stream of water flowing like the river in you. The river flows, brings peace, calm to you. The river is God is in you. He is the living stream of water. He has given you the Holy Spirit to be in you. He is omnipresent and knows exactly what is happening to you. Wars, disputes, arguments will end and people will praise God and turns towards Him.
From this passage, I know God knows what I am going through. I am having a few problems and He wants me to trust in Him that He will make things right. Be still and leave the situations to Him. I know all things work out good for those who loves the Lord.
Lord, help me to be still and fully trust in you for you are in control of my life, the people around me and my surroundings. You are my God, my Lord, my ever-present help in trouble. You do not want your child to suffer for too long for you love me. Please Lord, help me. I know in a matter of time, you will help me for I trust in you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
My actual devotional writing actually ends at Please Lord, help me. After I finished writing, when I got up from the spot where I sat at a wooden log, as I walk to the pathway from the grass, I saw the banner IT TAKES TIME. Saw this immediately after my devotional writing, I know this 3 words are from God. God is telling me to Be Still, Wait for Him, In a matter of Time He will makes things right again. He will restore, He will reconcile. So I have added in my ending prayer with I know in a matter of time, you will help me for I trust in you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
