Proverbs 6:16-19 (NIV)

16There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:

17haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,

18a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

 

Ephesians 4:25 (NIV)

25Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

 

Luke 18:20 (NIV)

20You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’ “

 

Proverbs 14:5 (NIV)

5A truthful witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies.

 

Deuteronomy 4:2 (NIV)

2Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.

 

Deuteronomy 12:32 (ESV)

“Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You shall not add to it or take from it.
