出埃及记 20:4-6
20:4 不可为自己雕刻偶像；也不可做什么形像仿佛上天、下地和地底下、水中的百物。
20:5 不可跪拜那些像；也不可事奉它，因为我耶和华你的 神，是忌邪的 神。恨我的，我必追讨他的罪，自父及子，直到三四代；
20:6 爱我、守我诫命的，我必向他们发慈爱，直到千代。
以赛亚书 42:8
我是耶和华，这是我的名。
我必不将我的荣耀归给假神，
也不将我的称赞归给雕刻的偶像。
以赛亚书 45:20-24
45:20 你们从列国逃脱的人，
要一同聚集前来。
那些抬着雕刻木偶，
祷告不能救人之神的，
毫无知识。
45:21 你们要述说陈明你们的理，
让他们彼此商议。
谁从古时指明？
谁从上古述说？
不是我耶和华吗？
除了我以外，再没有 神！
我是公义的 神，又是救主，
除了我以外，再没有别神！
45:22 地极的人都当仰望我，
就必得救。
因为我是 神，再没有别神！
45:23 我指着自己起誓，
我口所出的话是凭公义，并不反回。
万膝必向我跪拜，万口必凭我起誓。
45:24 人论我说：
‘公义、能力，惟独在乎耶和华。
人都必归向他。’”
凡向他发怒的，必至蒙羞。

4“You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
6but showing love to a thousand [generations] of those who love me and keep my commandments.

8“I am the Lord ; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.
Isaiah 45:20-24 (NIV)
20“Gather together and come; assemble, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood, who pray to gods that cannot save.
21Declare what is to be, present it- let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, the Lord ? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me.
22“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
23By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.
24They will say of me, ‘In the Lord alone are righteousness and strength.’ ” All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.
