马太福音 4:5-11
4:5魔鬼就带他进了圣城，叫他站在殿顶上（注：“顶”原文作“翅”），
4:6对他说：“你若是神的儿子，可以跳下去，因为经上记著说：
‘主要为你吩咐他的使者，
用手托著你，
4:7耶稣对他说：“经上又记著说：‘不可试探主你的神。’”
4:8魔鬼又带他上了一座最高的山，将世上的万国与万国的荣华，都指给他看，
4:9对他说：“你若俯伏拜我，我就把这一切都赐给你。”
4:10耶稣说：“撒但（注：“撒但”就是“抵挡”的意思，乃魔鬼的别名）退去吧！因为经上记著说：
‘当拜主你的神，
单要事奉他。’”
4:11于是魔鬼离了耶稣，有天使来伺候他。
约翰福音10:10
10:10盗贼来，无非要偷窃、杀害、毁坏；我来了，是要叫羊（注：或作“人”）得生命，并且得的更丰盛。
耶利米书 29:11
29:11 耶和华说：“我知道我向你们所怀的意念，是赐平安的意念，不是降灾祸的意念，要叫你们末后有指望。
5Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
6“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: ” ‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ “
7Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ “
8Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
9“All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ “
11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
John 10:10
10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Jeremiah 29:11
11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
